R28,000/month starting salary, from day one, including training - plus performance incentives and bonuses.
What you do instead of classroom teaching
An Education Leader runs a child’s whole learning programme. You meet the family, assess how the child learns, design the right support, choose and coach the tutor team, and keep parents, teachers and psychologists aligned. You leave classroom management and marking behind, but not the purpose of education. This is thoughtful, client-facing leadership. It also includes premium consultative work: families choose Genius because you understand their child and can explain a credible plan.
A next step after teaching or tutoring
If you are leaving teaching, the pedagogy and subject knowledge you worked hard to build still matter here. You use them to understand how a child learns, advise families and lead tutors, without returning to classroom management.
If tutoring showed you that education is where you belong, this is the full-time career that sits above individual lessons. Many Education Leaders tutored first; in this role, you build and lead the team around each child.
Whichever route brings you here, you receive structured training from day one, guidance from an experienced team leader and weekly personal-development sessions with a registered psychologist, paid in full by Genius. What you need before applying
You need a degree, a reliable car and driver’s licence, and at least one distinction in matric. Regular travel to families, some evening meetings and revenue targets are part of the role. The Johannesburg position is full-time and based at our Fourways office. It is not a classroom teaching post.
